6. Initiate competitions in your school or club

One of the most effective ways to educate young people about their human rights is through competitions involving the 30 human rights. Step-by-step guides to how to promote and conduct essays/art/poetry competitions are all available to ensure successful activities.

7. Teach others the history of human rights

The Youth for Human Rights Education Package is a complete, turnkey guide to educating youth about human rights. The Story of Human Rights documentary, the UNITED music video and the public service announcements are powerful audiovisual aids to help others know, demand and defend their human rights. 8. Launch petition drives

From your own group you can immediately launch petition drives and send letters to legislators, asking that they enact human rights legislation (and in turn prevent legislation that endangers human rights).
