or violence. To use
something for a bad
purpose or wrongly.
This section is designed
to give you an idea
of current and past
human rights abuses.
1. With the help
of parents and teachers
as needed, briefly
research a past human
rights abuse. This
can be found on the
Internet or in educational
materials such as history
books and encyclopedias.
2. Do the same as
above, but this time
research a current
human rights abuse.
3. Write
a page or longer
essay on why the
examples you have
found are human rights
abuses. Add an example
of a human rights
abuse you have seen
and what you did
or could have done
to help prevent it.
